LNW 6365: JUVENAL

"Tacitus and Juvenal could be regarded as parallel and coeval phenomena. Style, tone, and sentiment are comparable.  Juvenal has point and concentration, command of rapid narrative and of pictorial evocation—and a dramatic power supremely manifested in scenes like the fall of Seianus ..."
