You can gain up to 10 extra credit points, equaling 3 points on your final grade for the course, by doing a number of special assignments.  3 extra credit points = 1 point added to your final grade for the semester.

Ways to earn extra credit points:

1. Win the group scavenger hunt for sources on religion and violence [1 point] 

2. Attend any lecture sponsored by the history department (up to 3), type up a 1-page summary and evaluation of the presentation, and hand it in within one week after the lecture.  [2 points each x 3 = 6]
 

3. Image of Columbus extra credit assignment.  Everyone who does this assignment by the due date can get 1 point; the best image and explanation in each section gets an additional point.  [1 or 2 points]
