the home stretch. in units i, ii, and iii, we have tried to generate material,to learn some basic critical skills, to experience writing that has, in one way or another, stood the test of time, and to revise our own work, breaking that work down into component pieces and rebuilding it, step by step.

now its time to finish up. part of the goal of this unit is for me to give you as much time as you need to work on your final projects, and yet, at the same time, to see if we can't reach out from this class to the professional world. 

HOMEWORK: Now is the time to work hard on your final project.

But also I ask you to do this: using the internet, find a story, play, novella, hypertext or a performance piece that uses text as an integral part of the performance (I will give you an example) and bring the web-address with you back to class.

Be prepared to introduce the piece--who, what, where, and why. How if you want.
