(12/7) Here are my notes on Hume (pdf) and the review questions (pdf) for the final exam.

(12/2) The third quiz (pdf) is now available, and I've added the answers to the quiz answers page. Remember that these quizzes are supposed to be a guide to how you're getting on, but do not count towards your overall grade.

I've also put up the handout on EHU 4.2 (pdf) from Monday's class.

(11/29) Here are my notes on Berkeley's Dialogues.

(11/18) Here are some more notes on Locke (pdf), from Essay II.xxiii onwards. In one or two places they address material we didn't cover in class (about essences and about faith). They also make some page references that are not to the Ariew and Watkins book. But most references are to chapters and sections.

(11/16) Here are the two recent quizzes, and the answers.

(10/19) Here are some notes on Locke (pdf), in particular Essay I.i-II.viii.

(10/15) I've now posted my notes from recent classes on Galileo, Boyle, and Descartes. these are again in a password-protected pdf file.

(10/7) My notes on Spinoza (pdf) are now available online. The password is the same as for the previous files.

(9/30) Here are the two files I said I'd post online. They're both password-protected pdf files. The password is in the email I sent earlier today.

(8/21) The syllabus is now available.
