International Relations (INR 2001)This course is designed to enhance students’ understanding of global politics by familiarizing students with general frameworks for analyzing international relations. Students are expected to (1) develop an appreciation for the conduct of international relations in a globalized world, and (2) develop critical thinking skills necessary to apply theoretical perspectives to current international events. The broader intellectual objective is to assist students in developing an appreciation for the complexity of international issues, including the inter-relationship of domestic and international events. Politics of the World Economy (INR 3034)This course is designed to enhance students’ understanding of global political economy by familiarizing students with general frameworks for analyzing the politics of economic resource allocation. Students are expected to (1) develop an understanding of the interconnectivity between politics and economics, and (2) develop critical thinkingskills necessary to apply theoretical perspectives to global political economy. |
