Sunshine State TESOL of Florida Invitation to Participate in Southeast Regional TESOL 2008

Dear Sunshine State TESOL Members, 

We encourage all of you to consider sharing your wonderful ideas and successful projects at the SETESOL Conference in Birmingham on September 25-27. Just fill out the attached proposal and submit it by May 1st to setesol2008@yahoo.com . For more information, go to http://www.amtesol.org/setesol2008.htm 

If you have presented at a local or state conference, I encourage you to submit your earlier presentation for this regional conference. If you are developing a new presentation, you might wish to consider selecting a topic related to our conference theme Celebrating Commonalities,Cultivating Connections. Another possibility would be to prepare a presentation proposal related to one of the following six strands:

• K-12: Content Area Teachers with ELLs in their Mainstream Classes
  
• Special Education and ELLs
• Using Storytelling
• Post-Secondary: Adult ESL
• Intensive English Programs
  
• Higher Education Roundtable and ITAP
  

Sunshine State TESOL is very proud of how effectively our members work
with ELLs. Yet, the best way for others throughout the Southeast to
learn about your accomplishments is for you to share your own success
stories by giving a presentation.  If you have any questions about this
process or need some guidance in preparing your proposal, please feel
free to ask.
