"Eat Art" is an experimental videotape which follows the fragmentary
monologues of five nomadic characters who occupy different aesthetic
spaces. One of them consumes, three stand still & act alienated, and one
eats & eats.
screenings
"Eat Art" was first screened as a work-in-progress as part of a video installation
in the New Art in the Triangle exposition in the Duke Museum of Art in
August 1997. It has since screened at Flicker, at the Hi Mom Film Festival,
and at Thaw 98 at the University of Iowa. It was awarded Third Prize at
the Hi Mom Festival.
