8/19/2009: This fall, Department of Religion Ph.D. student Phillip Green will teach Beginning Sanskrit (SRK 1120). Beginning Sanskrit is scheduled to meet Monday through Thursday during period 11 (6:15-7:05 p.m.). Register now! No prior knowledge of Sanskrit required.
Dr.
Travis Smith, also with the Department of Religion, will teach
Intermediate Sanskrit (SRK 2200) this fall on Thrursdays during periods
8-10 (3:00-6:00 p.m.)
8/18/2009: Carly Dwyer, one of the primary active graduate students in Sanskrit at UF, will be continuing her graduate studies as a Ph.D. student at Syracuse University in the Department of Religion. Carly completed her M.A. here at UF in the summer of 2009. We wish her the best of luck and will definitely miss her!
8/17/2009: I'm back in Gainesville after being away for the summer. Check back soon for upcoming information on Sanskrit at UF this Fall. I will definitely be holding some Sanskrit get-togethers this Fall.
8/25/2008: School's back in session! This year's Sanskrit courses have a new one-two punch with Dr. Jason Neelis teaching first year Sanskrit and Dr. Resnick teaching advance level Sanskrit to second and third year students.
