Obviously you get to choose which three you will write, or you may write all four and count the best three. These papers will count 25% each for your grade. 10% of your grade will be based on class attendance and participation, and 10% on an hour-long factual quiz on the reading (April 11). 5% will be based on a special assignment related to the International Narrative Conference to be held here April 3-6. Everyone's attendance/participation grade starts at B and will go up or down depending on what he or she does. It will drop a letter grade for each two unexcused absences. PLAGIARISM WILL RESULT IN A MINIMUM PENALTY OF A ZERO (not just an F, which is averaged in at 55) on the paper. DON'T USE SOMEONE ELSE'S WORDS OR IDEAS without giving them credit. When in doubt, ask me.
