Write a short summary/analysis (1-2 pages) of either Barendse's
article or of Ortenberg, Chapter 4 in which you address the following
questions. 1. What is the authoršs argument? What is the main thesis and what
are some of the fundamental assumptions behind this argument? 2. What kind of
evidence does the author use to support her/his claims? How does s/he mobilize
that evidence? 3. Is this a convincing argument? Why or why not?
