EXAMINATIONS:  There will be two lecture examinations given during regularly scheduled class periods plus a non-cumulative final examination given as scheduled in the University Schedule of Courses.  Subject matter covered by each examination is stated in the course Schedule of LecturesHOUR EXAMINATIONS COUNT 75% of your final grade.
LABORATORY:  Please feel free to bring a camera to lab, if you would like pictures of the plants and/or products on display.  There will be 12 laboratory quizzes, one during each laboratory meeting.  You will be able to drop two of your quizzes, so only your 10 best scores will count toward your final grade.  LABORATORY QUIZZES COUNT 25% of your final grade.
    GRADING:  100-90=A; 89-87=B+; 86-80=B; 79-77=C+; 76-70=C; 69-67=D+; 66-60=D; and any score below 60 = E.

  • EXAMINATIONS
  • Laboratory quizzes CAN NOT BE MADE UP.  However, you will be able to drop two of your lowest quiz grades (which may include any missed quizzes).
  • Lecture examinations may be made up.  Arrangements for lecture exam make-ups should be made immediately following return to class.  Time and place will be agreed upon mutually by instructor and student, but make-ups ordinarily will not be scheduled later than one week following return to class.  A doctor's or Student Health Care Center verification of illness may be required for absences due to sickness or injury.  Missed appointments for make-up tests can NOT be rescheduled.
