GLY4790C- The Department of Geological Sciences operates a field station in Taos, New Mexico. We stay at the Austing Haus Ski Lodge (9000 feet) for 3 weeks and the remaining 3 weeks are spent traveling the West. Schedule is posted below. Please also look to see our list of 'items to bring'. We encourage you to get your field2008
Cost and Schedule (for Costs please e-mail Dr. Meert): A non-refundable
deposit of
$200.00 must be sent by Feb 1, 2007 to reserve a place at camp.
The Total Cost for field camp will depend on the total number of
students attending. Last year the total cost was $1350.
Because of gasoline prices, the cost is sure to increase. I'd say
the maximum cost would be around $1500.00
