We will be reading
selections from a
variety of Greek poets from the Archaic through the Hellenistic
periods. Our goals will include improving translation skills and
understanding the texts in their cultural and historical contexts.

FOR THIS CLASS ARE IN ANCIENT GREEK. ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE COMPLETED
AT LEAST THE FIRST-YEAR ANCIENT GREEK LANGUAGE SEQUENCE (GRE1130 &
1131).
