We will be reading selections from the "canonical" ancient Greek historians, Xenophon, Herodotos and Thucydides.  Our goal is to be able to render ancient Greek accurately into English, and to appreciate each author's style, as well as the historical and cultural signifcance of the texts.

Herodotos (c480-420)     Thucydides (c460-400)     Xenophon (c430-after 394)
