PERSONAL BEST (1982) A film by Robert Towne starring Mariel Hemingway, Patricia Donnelly and Scott Glenn. The story of two women who meet at the 1976 Olympic Trials, become friends, then lovers, then teammates. After a 3-year relationship they seperate only to be reunited in competition at the 1980 Olympic Trials.
