Intermediate Spanish Program

The Intermediate Spanish Program at UF consists of three courses: SPN 2200, SPN 2201 and SPN 2240. These must be taken in sequence, one after the other, as each is the prerrequisite for the next.

Please consult the following information regarding your placement in Intermediate Spanish, or see the links on the left for information about the program and courses.

For questions regarding your placement in any 1000-level course, please see Antonio Gil (agil@rll.ufl.edu) in Dauer Hall. If you placed into a 2000-level course but want permission to take a 1000-level course, only Professor Gil can discuss that with you.

For any information regarding Bilingual courses, please see Susana Braylan (braylan@rll.ufl.edu) in 154 Dauer Hall. Even if you don’t consider yourself bilingual, if you have any Spanish background in your family you must speak with Professor Braylan before enrolling in any course.

Any classroom issues or disagreements or grade disputes should be discussed first between the instructor and the student. If the problem cannot be resolved contact Ms. Laurel Hodges, the program assistant, at ljhodges@ufl.edu. Be prepared to provide any documentation of the issue or disagreement at this meeting. If the problem still can not be resolved, Ms. Hodges will arrange the involvement of the program director. 

Any issues involving grades that cannot be resolved with the course instructor should be taken to the program director directly.
