Course Objectives:
This is the final course of a two part accelerated beginning series at the University of Florida. Students will concurrently (1) review Accelerated Latin 1, (2) master the vocabulary, morphology, and syntax in chapters 24-40 of Wheelock's Latin, and (3) practice in the fluid translation of Latin to English and English to Latin. Students will also read selections of prose and poetry in the original Latin. Students will leave this class prepared to succeed in 2000-level translation classes.
