Funding

 

The Philippe Wiener—Maurice Anspach Foundation provides principal funding for AfriPop and support to Dr. Catherine Linard. Dr Linard is hosted by the Department of Zoology at the University of Oxford, UK, and also by the Biological control and Spatial Ecology Lab. (abbreviated as LUBIES, Lutte Biologique et Ecologie Spatiale), which is part of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

 

The Emerging Pathogens Institute (EPI) and the Department of Geography at the University of Florida, USA, hosts and supports Dr. Andrew Tatem. Dr Tatem is also supported by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (Grant #49446), and is a Research Associate of the Center for Geographic Medicine, Kenya. Dr Tatem also acknowledges funding support from the RAPIDD program of the Science & Technology Directorate, Department of Homeland Security, and the Fogarty International Center, National Institutes of Health.
