Phillips
Win Phillips was named Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School in 1999. Prior to that he had served as dean of the College of Engineering since 1988.
A fellow and past president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Dr. Phillips has held leadership positions in numerous engineering and science societies. Among other positions, he is a fellow and past president of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, chair of the Board of the American Association of Engineering Societies, a fellow and past president of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, a fellow and past president of the American Society for Engineering Education, fellow of the New York Academy of Sciences, chair of the Board of the Southeastern Consortium for Minorities in Engineering, and member of the Board of Enterprise Florida, Inc.
Dr. Phillips earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and his master's degree and doctorate in aerospace engineering from the University of Virginia.

Judy and her staff provide advice on guideline interpretation and budget preparation, budget review, help filling out forms, help in determining allowable and unallowable costs, certification completion, provision of documentation (i.e. annual reports, audits, tax exempt status, etc.), mailing or federal expressing proposals, contract review and negotiation. - Post Award Administration

Ms. Teel and her staff reviews the funding agency's terms and conditions and authorizes the establishment of an account as soon as possible with the appropriate accounting unit on campus (either with IFAS, EIES or the Office of Contracts and Grants). Other assistance to the faculty includes monitoring all funded projects with regard to rebudgeting, no-cost extensions, travel, equipment purchases, countersignatures, temporary accounts, and any other transactions requiring institutional prior approval. - University of Florida Research
