Religion
About the Major
Religion is a powerful force, with both positive and negative consequences. Religion majors develop the basic tools to understand the diversity of religious global phenomena and to interpret their cultural, historical, philosophical, psychological, and sociopolitical contexts. Students receive a truly interdisciplinary training and find themselves well prepared for advanced degrees in the humanities, social sciences, law, education, journalism and social services. The religion program complements many other programs at the University of Florida, including Latin American Studies, Sustainability Studies, Jewish Studies and Asian Studies, among others.
Our graduates have gone on to become...
- A Law Clerk for a Superior Court in Washington State
- The Academic Dean at Metropolitan University
- An Assistant Professor of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine
