Current Research Projects
Caribbean
Caribbean Research Group – established at the University of Florida with Dr. Graeme Cumming of WEC. Summer research plans for a research team visit and meeting with representatives from universities and researchers in Puerto Rico and Trinidad undertaken successfully. Two graduate students are working in this region, Rob Lopez in Puerto Rico (graduated) and Cerian Gibbes in Trinidad (graduated but continuing onto PhD), both of whom I advise. Current research underway and future publications underway with the entire research group. Online database of all data collected is being created for use by faculty and students, as well as distribution of all data with collaborators in Puerto Rico and Trinidad.
Most of my graduate students also choose to work internationally, although not always in areas in which I study. Current graduate students work in Trinidad, Puerto Rico, Tanzania, Costa Rica, Brazil, and Florida.
