The son of a high school Spanish teacher, Charles “Bucky” Wharton has always had a gift for learning new languages. “I didn’t grow up speaking Spanish at home”, he says. “I wasn’t raised bilingual.” Yet language acquisition seems to run in the family.

Meet the newest members in the University Scholars Program

News:
April 7:
The annual University Scholars Program awards banquet will be held at 6:30 pm at the Harn Museum of Art. Best Paper Awards will be presented and 2005-2006 scholars will be honored. Refreshments will be served and the museum galleries will be open for viewing.

April 8: Annual USP Symposium, 8:30-12:30, Anderson Hall. 2005-2006 scholars will present their work to fellow students, faculty and their families.
