College of Pharmacy
"Ever since taking general chemistry in high school, I have always longed for a career in the pharmaceutical field. I applied to the USP to gain insight and prepare myself for graduate school. I also hope to develop the analytical and research skills needed to excel in this area of studies."
Ewan is a junior majoring in health science education with a concentration on community health. He is a recipient of an academic scholarship from the Kiwanis Club of Central Broward County, as well as a scholarship from the Dillard Class of 1974. Research Description:
An Evaluation of Enhancements in Electronic Technology for Presribers in the Florida Medicaid Program
The objective of my project is to measure the adoption by program providers of the two new technology tools in terms of penetration and intensity of use. I will survey users about the value of each tool for patient care and their satisfaction with technical support and training. I will draw comparisons about the edit messages generated by users and non-users of each tool in a comparable three-month observation period, before and after the implementation of the technology.
