Internship Information (IDS 4940)

An internship presents an excellent opportunity for both personal and professional growth. When looking at internships, you should consider the following:

If interested in pursuing internship credit through the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, please review the information below and submit an application to Jorge Quintana in 2014 Turlington Hall. Please keep in mind that this course may be taken for 1-3 credits depending on the amount of hours you will be working throughout the duration of the internship. Grading is on an S/U basis. Note that a course taken S/U will NOT apply to MAJOR requirements, but may apply to your elective requirements. All interested students must have at least a 3.0 GPA in order to apply for internship credit.

Along with your application, we require a sponsor letter from a tenured faculty member in our college. The letter must state their approval of your internship and how said internship relates to your studies.

If you have any further questions about internships, please email Michal Katz at michal20@ufl.edu or call 352-294-1951.
