Extending an Offer
Before extending an offer, the Department should insure:
- Title being offered was advertised and is appropriate based upon current title. For example., if a Department wants to hire a faculty who is currently an Asst. Professor level, a justification letter detailing the reason for the higher rank should be forwarded to CLAS HR Office and approved by the Dean before proceeding.
- The salary being offered must fall within the advertised range.
After these have been checked, you are now ready to submit a draft letter of offer to CLAS HR Office for review and approval.

When submitting the final letter of offer for Dean’s signature, you must include the following attachments:
- Equity
Compliance Report Form (XLS format):
With required attachments in section A. - Self Identity Statement (DOC)
