- The Committee reviewed materials from the 19 applicants from whom secondary materials were requested.
- From the 19, the Committee identified 10 candidates to whom it would like to extend invitations to participate in interviews at the MLA conference in Chicago on December 28-29, 2007.
- The Committee delivered the list of ten names to the Chair of the Department of English and requested that she contact the candidates to arrange MLA interviews.
