Candidates
One of the candidates for the Composition/Rhetoric position in the Department of English is unable to attend the MLA Conference. The Search Committee requested that the Department Chair seek authorization to conduct a phone interview with that candidate prior to the MLA meetings. The Department Chair secured that authorization, and a phone interview has been scheduled with Professor Adam Banks of Syracuse University for Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 4:00 in Turlington 4303D. This interview will be conducted in lieu of an MLA interview.

The University of Florida Department of English seeks a Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure-track, in Composition & Rhetoric. The candidate will contribute to a graduate program (M.A. and Ph.D.) and a large undergraduate major and may participate in administration of a writing program. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in hand, an active research agenda, and preferably also have some experience in writing program administration. The successful candidate will join a faculty with strengths in cultural studies and theory, literature, and film and media studies.
Teaching load is 2/2, and salary is competitive. Send cover letter and
