Minutes for CLAS Task Force on Shared Governance

Attendance
Present: Ron Randles, Barbara Zsembik, Jed Keesling, Rick Yost, Carol Murphy, John Moore, John Moore, David Hackett, Bret Seferian.
Absent: Jane Brockmann, Jodi Lane, Steve Perz.
Also Present: Joe Glover, Interim Dean.
Also Present: Hana Filip, Scott McCullough, members of the CLAS Constitution Committee.
Minutes
- The meeting was called to order at 1:05 pm by Jed Keesling.
- Two sentences were discussed in the proposed Constitution and revised wording agreed upon.
- A time line for adoption of the Constitution was discussed. The final date for ballots to be in and counted would be May 11.
- The form of the ballot was discussed and agreed upon.
- John Leavey will produce a revised version of the Constitution in pdf format and send it to Jed this evening. Friday morning Jed will bring the materials to the the Dean's Office for the proposed Constitution to be posted at the CLAS website. He will send out an e-mail to the Faculty announcing the posting, highlighting the features of the new Constitution, and describing the procedures for its adoption.
- The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 pm.
