Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Self-Study Process
As a part of our reaccreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Commission on Colleges, the University of Florida is conducting a self-study of campus involvement in international activities. Each College must submit information about its current international activities and future goals in the areas of Research/Scholarship; Instruction/Teaching; Service and Outreach. There are two parts to the self-study:
- a Current Status Data Form that requests quantitative information
reflecting both the current status of internationalization in your academic
unit and 5-year goals.
- a self-study questionnaire. In order to describe more fully the University's international involvement, the SACS International Focus Committee has developed an outline to help guide the self-study process.
In CLAS, all Departments, relevant Centers, Institutes and academic Programs (CIP) are being asked to prepare the Data Form and to complete the self-study questionnaire regarding international activities in the Department or CIP. Please be sure to describe fully, document as appropriate, and specify future goals as well as assessment measures for reaching those goals.
The completed self-study, including the Current Status Data Sheet, is to be submitted to the College Office, in hard copy, WORD format, to Associate Dean Carol Murphy, no later than February 1, 2002. We will in turn prepare the College Report to be submitted to the Provost's Office by June 1, 2002.
