Please join our "Latin America Writes Back: Science Fiction in the Global Era" symposium guests for the following special events:

Sat. October 29, 10:00am-11:30

Writer's workshop in Spanish, The Institute of Hispanic-Latino Cultures, "La Casita," 1504 West University Avenue, led by Edmundo Paz-Soldán.

Open to the Gainesville community, prizes for best stories. Spanish speakers from the community and the university may participate. Final versions of stories to be sent to RLL by Feb. 1, 2006. A panel of judges will notify the winners by March 1.

Screening of film MOEBIUS, Hippodrome Theater, 25 SE 2nd Place

Free and open to the public
