Psychology Professor Carolyn Tucker Appointed to the Advisory Committee on Minority Health
Carolyn Tucker
Psychology Professor Carolyn Tucker has been appointed to the Advisory Committee on Minority Health (ACMH) by the US Secretary of Health and Human Services. She will serve a three-year term, providing advice and council to the Secretary and Assistant Secretary for Health on public health program activities that impact racial and ethnic minority populations.
Tucker, who has taught at UF since receiving her PhD from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1976, is a clinical psychologist whose research focuses on culturally sensitive healthcare and the predictors of mental and physical health among children in minority and low-income families.
