Organized by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Fall Convocation
honors outstanding UF students and faculty. The majority of students are
recognized as Anderson Scholars for maintaining at least a 3.87 grade
point average during their first four consecutive semesters at UF. Anderson
Scholars are named in honor of James Anderson, the first dean of the College
of Arts and Sciences, formed in 1909.
Guest Speaker
The Convocation ceremony’s keynote speaker was Janie Fouke, UF’s
new
provost and senior vice president for academic affairs.
