Information for Faculty
The college invites all faculty members to attend and participate in both CLAS graduation ceremonies this spring. The undergraduate ceremonies on Saturday, May 3 will open with a formal procession, and participating faculty will line the processional path and also have reserved seating on the floor behind the graduates.
In addition to participating faculty, we will also need marshals to serve. It will be impossible for the College to present a flawless graduation without your help. A letter has been sent to all Chairs requesting marshals. Some of you might be asked to serve in this capacity. Everyone (chairs, marshals, and faculty) who participates in the undergraduate ceremony must be dressed in full academic or marshal regalia. The Bookstore charges a fee to rent regalia, and the College will cover the cost for marshals. If you have questions, please contact Sarah Fitzpatrick in the Dean's Office.
