The University of Florida policy on computer-related crimes is as follows:
In many instances the crimes identified in the Computer Crimes Act constitute a felony. Accordingly, the University refers all cases of suspected computer crimes by UF students, faculty or staff members to the University Police Department for appropriate investigation and referral.
