Asian Studies Awards

• Monbukagakusho Scholarship, printable application The Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship program established in 1954. As of May 1, 2005, there were 9,891 foreign students studying in Japan as Japanese government scholarship students.
• Asian Studies Research Award, not available at this time

• Alice Zirger Memorial Scholarship
  Deadline March 1, 2009.
• Courtney Hames Memorial Award
  This long-standing award is given by the Department of African and Asian Languages and Literatures, and recognizes a student in the field of Japanese literature.

• Association for Asian Studies
• Freeman Asia
  Students are not permitted to receive both the Freeman ASIA scholarship and the Asian Studies Study Abroad Scholarship. If awarded both, you will be required to decline one award.
