He is currently at Millennium Middle School teaching Pre-IB Sixth grade World Geography course. Bill is a member of NCSS. This is her first year teaching at a magnet high school and she is loving it. Jennifer is currently working on her masters in political science at USF. Christine is a native of Maryland’s Eastern shore. She received her BFA from the Institute of Art in Baltimore, Maryland and has a Master of Fine Arts from the College of Graduate Studies/Marshall University in West Virginia. In 1999 she graduated from the University of Florida as an Educational Specialist. Christine has 27 years of teaching experience, with the majority being in Special Education and Remedial work. She returned to being a one subject specialist three years ago. In 2000 Christine was on the USA Today 1st Team. In 2001 she had the opportunity to be part of a group of educational ambassadors to the newly independent Soviet countries. Christine loves teaching geography and has had the opportunity to infuse arts into her teaching to give all of her students an opportunity to embrace and understand other cultures. Daniel CondeLincoln Middle School Hannah DrossnerCypress Creek High School Hannah graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a degree in Asian Studies. She continued on and received her masters degree from the University of Central Florida. Hannah was elected to Phi Alpha Theta, International Honor Society and Golden Key National Honor Society. Bonnie EnglandLavilla Middle School of the Arts, Jacksonville, FL Bonnie has been teaching middle school for six years. She has spent the last three years teaching social studies at LaVilla and the three years previous teaching special education 6th grade EMH students. Bonnie has found her niche with social studies and cannot imagine teaching anything else. Currently, she is a National Board Certification candidate for Early Adolescence Social Studies- History, and attends Great Decisions monthly meeting on U.S. foreign policy around the world. Darlene FritchLake Weir High School, Ocala, FL Darlene is married with two children. She graduated from Florida Atlantic
University with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. Darlene has
been teaching at Lake Weir in the social studies department for six years
and she currently teaches American Government/Economics for seniors. Dale HueberEast Bay High School, Gibsonton, FL Dale is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel (Transportation Corps) with 22 years in active service. He was privileged to serve all around the world, including Korea (three years), New Zealand (three years), Saudi Arabia (one year), and at various places in the United States including Fort Eustis, VA, Ft. Leavenworth, KS, Ft Sill, OK, and MacDill AFB, in Tampa, FL. Dale retired in 2000 and went to work for East Bay High School teaching social studies. Kim JagoTampa Preparatory School , Tampa, FL Kim graduated from the University of the South in 1985. She has taught
at Tampa Prep since 1989. She is married to Donald Morrison. Christopher Dean LeeBrandon High School, Tampa, FL Christopher has visited China, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Kazakstan, Russia, Ukraine, Moldavia, Netherlands, Ireland, Panama, Korea, Canada and Mexico. Sabrina McCartneyCarrollwood Day School, Odessa, FL Sabrina has a BA in History and Social Studies Education and an MA in Social Science Education from USF. She has been teaching Geography and U.S. History. Joy MolassoJaison NorrisDeborah ParkerH.B. Plant High School, Tampa, FL Debbie was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated in 1975 from Stevenson High School, Sterling Height, MI. Debbie got herBA from Western New England College in Springfield, MA and her MA from the University of South Florida. She is married with two children. Debbie is a military wife and has moved 21 times in the last 25 years. Their duty stations have included Hawaii, Panama, and Puerto Rico. They currently live at MacDill AFB in Tampa. She currently teaches Honors and AP World History. Katherine SanchezBartram Trail High School, Jacksonville, FL Kathy has a degree in history from Jacksonville University and a Masters degree from the University of North Florida. She teaches AP World History and World History Honors. She is the department chairperson for Social Studies at Bartram Trail. Donna SchroederMeadow Woods Middle School, Orlando, FL Donna is the Social Studies Department Chairperson at Meadow Woods Middle. She has taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade social studies. She holds degrees in elementary education 1-8, and holds middle school social studies endorsement. Donna has taught in Florida for eight years and in New Jersey for four years. She graduated from Glassboro (now Rowan) State College. Theresa Unser Resurrection Catholic School, Lakeland, FL Theresa holds a B.S. in Education from Illinois State University and a B.A. from St. Leo University. She has been a teacher for more than twenty-five years. Theresa is certified to teach in Illinois, Washington, Missouri and Florida. In addition to teaching, Theresa is a former social worker and U.S. Naval Officer. Bruce VaccaMiddleburg High School, Middleburg, FL Bruce has been a history teacher for 27 years and is married to another social studies teacher. He has two daughters in college. Bruce loves to travel and is interested in other cultures. His hobbies include bike riding, gardening and hiking. Linda VaccaOrange Park Junior High School, Orange Park, FL Linda is married to another social studies teacher andhas two daughters in college. She has been teaching in Clay County for 23 years and has taught all grade levels, 7-12 social studies and a few D.O.P. classes in science and English. Linda currently teaches 7th grade World Geography. Linda is both personally and professionally interested in Asia and enjoys travel. Anna VanlandinghamLake Mary High School, Lake Mary, FL Anna has been at Lake Mary High School for 16 years and teaches AP Macroeconomics, Economics Honors, and is the Social Studies Department Chair. Anna is married with no childen, but has one dog, Shadow, and two birds. Her honors include 2002 NASDAQ Southeast Region Economics Educator of the Year, 2001 Florida Economic Educator of the Year, 2000 Florida Junior Achievement Teacher of the Year, 2000 Finalist Junior Achievement National Teacher of the Year. Anna has her Masters degree from Delta State University and a Specialists degree from the University of Central Florida.
