Outstanding Research Mentor in Aging Award

Nominate your mentor!

The ILR in partnership with the UF Age Network (Psychology, CLAS, Nursing, PHHP) announces the Outstanding Research Mentor in Aging Award.

The Institute of Learning in Retirement (ILR) recognizes the critical importance of mentorship in developing future researchers whose work may improve the lives of older adults.

A $1,000 award has been established to recognize outstanding mentorship in aging by UF faculty. We invite undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, as well as junior faculty from any department or college to identify and nominate mentors in aging research and practice.

Nominate a faculty member to be considered as a recipient of this prestigious award!

The application is brief and simple. A nomination form can be obtained by email and applications are due in pdf format by March 10th 2010 at noon to: Dr. Susan Bluck bluck@ufl.edu

The Award Review Committee is comprised of UF Age Network faculty and ILR members. The committee will make known the winner by March 17th, 2010. The winner will be acknowledged at an awards ceremony and banquet to be held at Oak Hammock of the University of Florida, Oak Room, on April 13th, 2010 at 6:30 pm.
