Edward F. Nolan (MA, English) recently retired as a distinguished professor of English at the University of South Carolina. During his tenure he was named English Department Teacher of the Year and received the Russell Award for Distinguished Teaching.

1971
Michael Aschoff (BA, Art) received his MBA in 1984 and an advanced professional certificate in computer applications and information systems in 1988, both from New York University. He is currently vice president of retail banking systems at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City.

David Haines (BA, Political Science), managing director of strategy, finance, and economics at Arthur Andersen LLP, specializes in complex litigation and virtual private networking and is their top-ranked business developer.

1972
Donald L. Roberts (BA, Psychology) is the store manager for Rack Room Shoes in Gainesville, Florida. He previously worked as a senior merchandise manager with J.C. Penney for 16 years.

1976
Thomas Cross (BS, Zoology), an artist and coastal ecologist, created and illustrated a gift/art book, Fairy Garden, published in 1998 by Andrews McMeel Universal. He is also a contributing editor for the Cousteau Society.

Cindy Shellenberger Lederman (BA, Political Science) received the 1999 William E. Gladstone Award, Florida's highest judicial honor for children's advocacy, in recognition of her accomplishments, leadership, and dedication to cases involving the state's children.

Faith Ivery's Book1977
E. Faith Ivery (BS, Psychology) wrote How To Earn A College Degree For Adult Learners, a guidebook for beginning or completing undergraduate study. The book was first published by Educational Advisory Services in 1997.

1979
James W. Hicks, Jr. (PhD, Speech) was recently named director of education at Virginia College at Huntsville, where he has taught for the past four years.

Robin L. Brigmon (BS, Microbiology) works in the environmental biotechnology section at the Westinghouse Savannah River Site and is an adjunct assistant professor of environmental engineering sciences at Clemson University.

1980
Vickie Obermeyer (BA, Psychology & Music) is a singer, songwriter and music teacher. She has opened for Leon Russell, 10,000 Maniacs, Pete Seeger, Rick Denko and Donovan, and was a finalist for the 1998 Lilith Fair.

1982
Alma Brown Littles (BS, Chemistry) has been installed as 53rd President of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians.

1986
Clifton Bentley Greene (BS, Zoology) has relocated to South Dakota after his recent marriage to Lorna Lois Bear Heels.

1987
Mark Protheroe (BA, Spanish) is a doctoral student in Spanish studies at the University of Puerto Rico. He also teaches English and journalism at Robinson High School in San Juan.

1988
Dwight D. Wilson (BA, Criminal Justice), who worked for nine years in the Alachua County Schools, has received an MPA from Baruch College (CUNY) and is now working as the assistant commissioner of water, distribution, and maintenance for the city of Cleveland, Ohio.

1989
Michael E. Kinney (BA, Latin) practices commercial litigation and health law with the Tallahassee office of the law firm Foley and Lardner.

1990
John A. Ferko (BS, Astronomy) is a first lieutenant in the US Air Force currently assigned to the 30th Transportation Squadron, Vandenberg AFB, California. He received his MS in space studies from the University of North Dakota in 1998. He lives with his wife, Kathleen, and their three children.

Kelly J. McKibbon (BS, Psychology) currently works as a senior attorney for the Department of Children and Families. She is also vice president of academics for the Brevard County Gator Club.

1991
Coburn Hobar (BA, French) earned his MD from the University of Texas at Houston in 1997. He is doing his residency in internal medicine at Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.

Benjamin C. Pargman (BS, Interdisciplinary Studies) is an attorney specializing in labor and employment law with the firm of Troutman Sanders LLP in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rasby Marlene Powell (BA, Sociology) is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Elaine Hunter Thomsen (BS, Physics) conducts health and safety seminars as a safety training specialist for the Texas Workers' Compensation Commission. She lives in Austin with her husband, Loren (ME, 1997).

Fall ReunionCassandra White (BA & MA, Anthropology) is a PhD candidate at Tulane University. She recently received a Fulbright Fellowship to research Hansen's Disease in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

1992
Wendy Lynne Botwin (BA, Anthropology and Jewish Studies) is completing her MA in environmental leadership at the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado.

John M. Poli, Jr. (BS, Psychology) has been named "Clinician of the Year 1998" by Comprehensive Alcoholic Rehabilitation Programs (CARP). He serves as program director of outpatient services for CARP.

Jennifer Schultz (BA & MEd, German & Foreign Language Education) is vice president of the Georgia chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German and director of the Georgia State German Convention.

Chris Stowers (BA, Communication Studies) has been named director of community relations for the Orlando Regional Healthcare Foundation.

1994
Yuvora Nong (BA, Economics & Political Science) works as an attorney for the firm of Sadow and Gorowitz in Miami.

1995
Claire A. Coignard (BA, Sociology) is working on a master's in gerontology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Willa (Curtiss) Whitright (BA, Anthropology) is an underwriter's assistant in the long haul trucking insurance market. In 1998 she was the music leader for the annual St. Paul's Women's Retreat.

1996
Leeann A. Johnson (BA, Criminology & Law) works as a police officer for the Palm Bay Police Department.

Anita McDivitt (MA, Latin American Studies) is the assignments editor at KENS-TV in San Antonio, Texas. She previously worked for two years as the legal affairs reporter at the San Antonio Express-News.

John McKnight (BA, Sociology) completed his MA in counselor education and now works as a coordinator of prep advising at Sante Fe Community College in Gainesville.

1997
Jason Waterman (BS, Zoology) has been accepted to the 2002 class at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

1998
Rhonda Louise Bobb (BA, Linguistics) works at Nova Southeastern University as an administrative assistant with the doctoral program in communication sciences and disorders.
