Development Spotlight

Cynthia ButlerHello all CLAS alumni! It is with great excitement and anticipation that I join the CLAS development team. I arrived this summer from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. I served there for 20 years, most recently as Assistant Vice President for Development. I look forward to working with CLAS, Dean Sullivan, the faculty and with all of you.

The first effort we will work on together is the 2002 Annual Giving Campaign. As you contemplate the level of your gift, please remember that a contribution to CLAS will accomplish many goals:

  • Provide student scholarships, enhance the quality of instruction, make immediate technology and equipment enhancements, improve faculty research capabilities and allow for a broad range of quality improvements.
  • Offer Dean Sullivan the flexibility to take immediate advantage of opportunities offered to the college.
  • Provide stability for CLAS in these especially difficult economic times.
  • Widen the margin of excellence for our students and faculty.
  • Help maintain UF's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as one of the best in the nation.

You will soon receive a phone call from a UF student who works at the Foundation asking for your annual gift to CLAS. You can make a gift to the college directly or to a specific CLAS department, center or program.

I hope to meet each and every one of you. Thank you for your continued support!
