Congratulations to the Best Paper Winners of 2005-2006!

During the University Scholars Program’s annual end-of-the-year banquet on April 7, four students received 2005-2006 Best Paper Awards for their outstanding research papers. The following students were honored with a framed certificate and $250:

The competition is judged by the Dial Center for Written and Oral Communication and submissions are welcomed from students in the University Scholars Program. The annual application deadline is February 1.
Orientation for New USP Scholars Set for
May 23-24
New scholar orientation for the University Scholars Program will be held on May 23 and 24 to introduce students to the program, outline requirements, and answer questions. It is strongly recommended all 2006-2007 scholars attend one of the identical sessions. Mentors are also welcome to attend and light refreshments will be served. Please join us in the Rion Ballroom in the Reitz Union on either May 23, 11 am-12 pm or May 24, 11 am-12 pm. We look forward to meeting you and hearing about your exciting research projects!
